LRSD investigation file of Kendahl Davenport's entanglement with student leaves more questions than answers

| An "unprofessional" relationship between a Parkview student, Justin Lanier and a teacher Kendahl Davenport was the talk of the town this week |
________
We were contacted by a LRSD employee/whistleblower over the weekend and broke this story on April 13, 2026 at 7:43 a.m.
Our post about this on social media and other news outlet regurgitating it sent LRSD into a tailspin and the superintendent issued a statement.
LRSD attempted to spin the story with little success.
The shoddy investigation did produce so interesting things.
We submitted AFOIA requests to LRSD for copies of personnel files and records regarding applicants for the position that Davenport was hired to fill.
Other news outlets continued to post stories.
And they specifically referenced our April 13th social media post that broke the story and indicated that it going viral was problematic for the school district.
Unrelenting pressure on LRSD from news media and citizens forced the superintendent to issue another statement to try and make the story go away.
We immediately requested the LRSD internal investigation file and they sent it.The shoddy investigation did produce so interesting things.
Davenport had what the district called a "spam" Instagram account.
In the investigative world we call it a "sock" account.
Davenport used her sock account to connect with "select" students and she made some questionable posts.
The investigation finding also revealed she and Justin Lanier, a 19 year old student that was not in any class she taught, were in her office with a locked door.
The couple was surprised when assistant volleyball coach Allison Clark used a key she had and opened the locked door. As she was unlocking the door, Davenport sat down on a chair and Lanier plopped onto a beanbag. They said they had been "snacking".
Clark had also observed the couple in a sketchy situation, behind the gym, and she saw Lanier get out of Davenport's vehicle and try and quickly slip away.
Lanier told LRSD investigators that he should have kept his relationship with Denton on a professional, student-teacher level instead of what it was.
Arkansas teachers can have sex with students who are age 18 and older, the state Supreme Court ruled in 2012, calling a ban on such conduct unconstitutional.
That's why the Little Rock Police Department just filed an information report as the prosecuting attorney would decline to prosecute Davenport for any illegal activity.
Lanier has signed to play for Nebraska.
If Nebraska decides that the scandal he's involved in at his high school is too much for them and they cut him loose, we suspect that Lanier will drop a dime and snitch out Davenport and seek legal action against her and the district for unethical abuse of power.
In part two, we will dive into Davenport and how an unlicensed individual gets a sweet job in LRSD due to her mother being in administration.
