ASA HUTCHINSON III GETS DEAL IN ALABAMA DRUG POSSESSION CASE - ARKANSAS COURTS NOT SO LENIENT WITH HIS THIRD DWI ARREST

In January 2016, we were one of the first outlets to report that the Governor's eldest son, Asa William Hutchinson, III had been arrested for DWI.  It was his third DWI arrest.  CLICK TO VIEW OUR FIRST POST ABOUT ASA III Asa III was found guilty of Driving while Intoxicated, Careless and Prohibited Driving and Refusal to Submit to Chemical Testing on December 5, 2016. Asa III has appealed that judgment. And a hearing has been set for July 24, 2017 on the appeal. ABC ATTORNEY WHO RESIGNED NAMED AS INTERIM DIRECTOR - ABC IN TURMOIL OVER SHAKE UP ACCORDING TO SOURCES

MARY ROBIN CASTEEL - SHE QUIT THE ABC AND THEN WAS APPOINTED INTERIM DIRECTOR Mary Robin Casteel, who submitted her resignation from the Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control Division on May 19th is staying on to serve as the agency's interim director. Gov. Asa Hutchinson announced Friday that Mary Robin Casteel had agreed to stay on and temporarily head the agency after Bud Roberts announced his resignation as its director effective June 15. Casteel and Milton Lueken another attorney for the board had submitted their resignations this month. The 38-year-old Casteel joined the agency in 2013. ABC ATTORNEY SAYS ABC ADMINISTRATION DIRECTOR WAS FIRED

We broke the news yesterday of the unprecedented resignation of the three top positions in the Alcoholic Beverage Control Administration, Director Bud Roberts and the two staff attorneys, Mary Robin Casteel and Milton Lueken. Our email blast to other news media about the event resulted in a flurry of calls to the ABC, the DFA and the governor's office. We have been told that ABC employees were mystified as to how quickly we posted the information ant that tainted ABC Enforcement Director Boyce Hamlet suggested that they sweep the ABC offices for listening devices.  Might check your phones for malware too while you are at it Boyce. A story published in today's edition of the Arkansas Democrat - Gazette, quotes Lueken saying that Roberts was actually fired. The Arkansas Times has speculated that there were concerns about goings on at the ABC, but the concerns were with ABC Enforcement, not ABC Administration. FORMER NW ARKANSAS COP USED CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION FOR PERSONAL GAIN - GETS SIX YEARS PROBATION & 15 DAYS OF PICKING UP TRASH ON HIGHWAY

  ROBERT HENDRIX - USED ACCESS TO COPS ONLY SYSTEM FOR PROFIT A former Benton County deputy and former Springdale Police officer has pleaded guilty to one felony count of tampering with a witness and a misdemeanor count of release of unauthorized information.      Robert Hendrix was sentenced to six years probation and 120 hours (15 eight-hour days) of community service that needs to be completed in the next three years.    In 2016, Hendrix was investigated for using Justice Exchange for a private investigation service.      According to the arrest affidavit, Justice Exchange is a database that allows law enforcement to obtain sensitive information like social security numbers, addresses, drivers license photos and date of birth.  Hendrix was investigated for using a Benton County Sheriff's Office account for Justice Exchange for his private investigation service called One Twin Legal Services.  When questioned by the ...

We have received information and confirmation that ABC Administration Director Bud Roberts, along with the two staff attorneys Milton Lueken and Mary Robin Casteel, have submitted their resignations. BUD ROBERTS - ABC ADMINISTRATION DIRECTOR MILTON LUEKEN - ABC STAFF ATTORNEY MARY ROBIN CASTEEL - ABC STAFF ATTORNEY We have sent a request to DFA mouthpiece Jake Bleed for additional details.   JAKE BLEED   We were hoping that it would be tainted ABC Enforcement Director Boyce Hamlet.   The pending illegal exaction suit against him will no doubt spur his on as well. Stay tuned for updates.  ***UPDATE 5/25/17 2:25PM*** We received a response from Jake Bleed, Communications Director for the Department of Finance and Administration, the parent agency of the ABC.  Here are the resignation letters of Roberts, Lueken and Casteel.
