Arkansas State Trooper on administrative leave after allegations of domestice violence

Trooper Trevor Matthew Stevenson Court records we obtained after receiving a tip reveal that Arkansas State Police Trooper Trevor Stevenson is the subject of an Order of Protection due to domestic violence perpetrated upon his estranged wife, Julia Reddit Stevenson, who happens to be a North Little Rock cop. Julia Reddit Stevenson Julia Stevenson filed for an Order of Protection on October 31, 2022 and this was her affidavit for the Order of Protection.   This is full file we obtained from the Pulaski County Circuit Clerk.  That filing got the trooper placed on administrative leave. The couple married in October 2010.   Trevor Stevenson has a history of driving while intoxicated. He was able to get off a DWI charge probably due to white privilege and a plea agreement for a lesser charge. Court records bear this out. Perhaps alcohol abuse is a factor in the domestic abuse. Studies have found that a minimum of 40 percent of families of police officers have experienced some type of domes

LRPD take home vehicles rack up around 5,392 miles getting cops into the city and back home each day

Most all LRPD take home vehicles go to homes outside LR       Newly obtained records from the city of Little Rock and the Little Rock Police Department show that nearly all LRPD take home vehicles are used for LRPD employees to travel to and from their homes outside the safe city of Little Rock. LR City Hall was the first to respond to our request for an updated record of take home vehicles for city employees. Currently LRPD has 201 take home vehicles assigned to employees. This does not include vehicles that are assigned to "undercover" cops - more on that in a follow-up post. Back in 2018, we obtained similar records. At that time LRPD had 136 take home vehicles. You can check out that post by clicking here . LRPD sent this record. It provides more detailed information about the individual assigned a take home vehicle and the location the vehicle travels to and from for them to get to work.   According to these records,  130 vehicles of the 201 assigned are used by LRPD e

Disgraced ex-LRPD cop and felon lied on her employment application to get job with Arkansas State Police

In 2009, Sheva Howard was a Little Rock cop. She began working at LRPD in 2001 as a Crime Scene Specialist and in 2003 she became a police officer. Howard also worked off-duty, in her LRPD uniform, at Dillard's until she was caught in an act of thievery.  Howard purchased one purse, but it was in a bag so heavy she had to drag it on the ground. That bag was later found to have multiple purses packed into another purse. That incident also ended her career as a cop and gained her a felony conviction.   The LRPD Internal Investigation file reads like a script from an episode of Law & Order.   Howard was found to be untruthful during the internal investigation.   Here's what the local newspaper published about her criminal trial. Howard's supervisor at Dillard's was Willie Robinson. It just so happened that Robinson was and is also an Arkansas State Trooper.   Howard tried to have her conviction overturned but the Arkansas Court of Appeals upheld her conviction.   After
