SHOOTERS SPORTS BAR The ABC for some unknown reason refuses to shut down a Texarkana Bar that has long been a problem in that border town. The questionable bar is Shooters Sports Bar . There have been complaints made about Shooters since it opened. The complaints have run the gamut from serving minors, serving clearly intoxicated individuals, racism, illegal advertisements and employees beating patrons. CLICK TO VIEW SHOOTERS FACEBOOK PAGE There is an active lawsuit against Shooters and several of its employees in which it is alleged Shooters employees attacked a patron and severely injured him to the point that his injuries required medical treatment (By the way, the ABC has nothing in their file on Shooters regarding the 2013 incident that resulted in the lawsuit). WANT A PATCH? SEND BOYCE HAMLET A REQUEST FOR ONE Tainted ABC Enforcement Director Boyce Hamlet ordered his agents to collect patches to send to an individual in Georgia. Notice that it was sent with "high importance".  It's comforting to know that the ABC has so little to do that they can help a non-taxing paying, out-of-state individual, by using resources paid for by Arkansans. Hamlet received an email, purportedly from a Carol Davis from Ty Ty, Georgia, asking for a favor for her disabled and severely depressed husband. At least one agent, Michael Bush was able to drop his regular activities and do a little scrounging around to comply with Hamlet's orders. Bush always has time to do other things besides work . The Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control and the ABC Board woefully lacks knowledge of their parent agencies own policy/procedure concerning driver's licenses.   At a recent ABC Board meeting chairperson Janet Moore refused to accept an applicant's valid Arkansas Driver's License as a form of identification because the address as listed on the license was not his current address (she also questioned his heritage and why he liked to travel out of the country to visit family). HAMLET HAS TURNED THE ABC INTO PEE-WEE'S PLAYHOUSE  In a previous post we detailed how tainted ABC Enforcement Director Boyce Hamlet was violating state personnel policies and perhaps breaking state laws by letting his secretary, Milinda Brown, take paid leave to run personal errands. We discovered that it was not a single isolated event.  In fact it appears to be a pattern. As previously reported on August 14, 2015 Hamlet let Brown take approximately three hours off without requiring her to take annual leave. We know this because Brown did not file a leave request for that date. On December 2, 2015 Brown told Hamlet she needed to leave an hour early to take her mother on an errand. As we pointed out in our previous post about Hamlet's and Brown's defrauding the State of Arkansas, Brown's position does not accrue compensatory time so if she wants to take off from work to run errands, she has to take annual leave.
