Little Rock Mayor's wedding announcement leads to a discovery of another legal blunder of Antwan Phillips

The feckless Little Rock mayor made this post of Facebook yesterday.

So this morning we went to the County Clerk's website and grabbed a copy of his marriage license application.

We immediately noticed that both Scott and his bride to be listed the same residence address - 8101 Kanis Oaks Drive. Scott's residence on his voter records is on Edwina Drive in Southwest Little Rock.

Scott's bride-to-be is registered to vote in Florida. More about her later on in the story.

So we Googled that address.

According to records on file with Pulaski County, the property is owned by DRS Family Trust.

You might wonder who is DRS Family Trust. Well dear readers, it's the mayor.

The trust uses the middle initials of the mayor ("D" for Derrick) and his future spouse ("R" for Renee). the "S" is for Scott.

How did we come to that conclusion? Well dear readers, it's from the mortgage the feckless mayor took out on his new home.

And the feckless mayor also filed a Beneficiary Deed for his new home, drawn up by his fellow Little Rock City Board of Directors friend, inept attorney Atwan Phillips, or so he though he did.

We noticed that the legal description on the Beneficiary Deed did not match the one on the deed and mortgage for the mayor's new or old home. It was for property located in Otter Creek.

We did some research and located the address for that property.

The original plat map for that development shows that it is located on Bear Trail Loop.

At some time, the name of the street was changed from Bear Creek Trail to Eagle Nest Court.

And 48 Eagles Nest Court is owned by Gerald Russell, Jr. and county records do not reflect a transfer of that property from Russell to Scott.

We called the Pulaski County Assessor's office and they told us that the Beneficiary Deed was invalid due to Scott not holding title to the property.

If you are a sharp reader you will know what we know about Russell.

In 2008, he sold his home on Edwina Drive to Scott and he then purchased a new home in Otter Creek on Eagle Nest Court.

Our next step was to call the Wright, Lindsey & Jennings law firm as they prepared the Beneficiary Deed for Scott.

We identified ourselves to the phone answerer at the law firm and told them the issued about the deed. She asked us the name of the attorney that was on the deed. We told her there wasn't one listed. We gave her the name of the notary, Jamie Montgomery. She told us that Montgomery was Antwan Phillips assistant and put us through to her.

We identified ourselves to Montgomery and told her about the faulty and invalid beneficiary deed. She placed us on hold for several minutes and when she came back on the line she told us she could not talk about the deed with us and hung up. Not even a thank you for pointing out their colossal error so they could correct it.

Apparently Phillips or Montgomery somehow royally screwed up and used the totally incorrect legal description. How they managed to do that would be interesting to find out.

It's not the first time we have exposed a legal faux pas made by shyster Phillips.

Back in 2021 we found that he flagrantly violated Arkansas laws and ran an illegal campaign organization in his initial run for the Little Rock City Board of Directors.

We wonder how many other mistakes Phillips has made and how many more will it take for the law firm to get rid of him.

As we pointed out the mayor's fiancée  is moving to the safe city of Little Rock from Florida. She grew up in Arkansas and left to go to college at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.

From 2010 through 2015 she was a cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins.

The only other information about her being back in Little Rock has her connected to her mother's home in the Twin Lakes addition.

Her parents divorced in 1987 when she was around 2 years old.

Her father died in 2021.

There is little information available about how long they have been a couple.

We found this photo of them from October 2022...

and this one from a fundraiser for the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts in May of this year.

ASP Trooper texts and stalks a 14 year old that was near same age as his own daughter, while having an affair with her married sister.

Was ASP Trooper Billy Martin trying to pull all 3 sisters?   In January 2019, Callie Hinson and Joseph Ramer began dating. On June 13, 2020, Joseph proposed to Callie.  They were married on February 21, 2021. By the time of their first anniversary, their marriage was in shambles and Callie was estranged from her family all due to this man, Arkansas State Police Trooper Billy Mitchell Martin. Martin joined the ASP as a recruit in January of 2007. Records from his personnel file indicate he was from Boone County and he was posted there after graduating troop school.   Martin was promoted to Trooper First Class in July 2011 and Corporal in July 2014. In late 2019 and early 2020, Martin tried to get transferred to a Criminal Investigation position in Boone County but was unsuccessful. ASP Trooper Lincoln Smith fired for admitted criminal activity

The Arkansas State Police has confirmed that Trooper Lincoln Smith from Troop E (based in Pine Bluff) was fired on April 11th for illegal conduct.    False reports of his arrest went viral on social media.   As the ASP criminal investigation is on-going, they will not release any further details of his criminal actions.   As the termination letter states, Smith admitted to criminal conduct and was immediately fired.  Smith was hired by the ASP on October 2023. Smith was employed by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission as a Game Warden prior to his hiring by the ASP.   Records obtained from CLEST do not indicate that the ASP requested decertification.     Jacksonville 911 was contacted about Smith and they advised he last worked for them in 2022.   At the time of publication, Smith's Facebook page is still open and up.    Stay tuned for updates.
