Lela Chism, failed "Democratic" candidate and CLR payroll clerk

Lela Chism, a failed candidate for the Saline County Quorum Court and a payroll clerk is being investigated by the Arkansas Ethics Commission for campaign finance law violations. A complaint was filed after we found that Chism had violated the law.

Chism was only able to get one resident of Saline County to make a campaign contribution in her failed campaign for office. Chism received most all her campaign contributions from a political action committee and one of its officers and from the Saline County Democratic Party (guess they didn't know she was a Magamole).

Chism, a resident of Saline County has been employed by the city of Little Rock since 2017.

Chism is messy.

Court records reveal that Chism defaulted on credit card payments and her debtors obtained default judgments against her.

Chism paid off the 2023 judgment amount of $3,500.14 in March of 2024.

The 2024 judgment in the amount of $1,058.67 is still owed by Chism. Maybe her debtor should garnish her city of Little Rock wages.

Chism, never married, has three kids from two different baby daddies according to court records.

Court records also show that Chism was involved in an entanglement with a married man. Chism filed for an order of protection against him and stated he was with his wife when he allegedly threatened her.

Chaism failed to show up at the hearing and the judge dismissed the matter.

Fired Dover City Marshal Nathan Jones Accused of Exploiting Dying Man to Take Control of His Estate

A video of a part-time Dover, AR city marshal threatening a local business that went viral on social media, resulted in his termination of employment on October 1st. Here's the video. The feckless Little Rock mayor made this post of Facebook yesterday. So this morning we went to the County Clerk's website and grabbed a copy of his marriage license application. We immediately noticed that both Scott and his bride to be listed the same residence address - 8101 Kanis Oaks Drive. Scott's residence on his voter records is on Edwina Drive in Southwest Little Rock. Scott's bride-to-be is registered to vote in Florida. More about her later on in the story.
