Arkansas Baptist College ("ABC") employees have not received a paycheck in two months and are suffering financial hardships, including evictions and food insecurity.
Employees reached out to us and provided detailed information about the situation.
Arkansas Baptist College, founded in 1884, is a private, historically black liberal arts college located in Little Rock, Arkansas. It has a history of financial problems.
On January 22, 2024, students protested over lack of answers about financial aid and scholarships posed to school administration.
In 2018, the Black Agenda Report ("BAR") filed this story that detailed suspicious financial dealings at the college.
We reached out to the newly hired ABC president Leslie Rodriguez-McClellon for comments. At the time of publication no response from her or the college was received.
