Thanks to a reader we were able to find an image of Carlton Saffa, another questionable individual that Governor Asa Hutchinson has placed on the public payroll, at the ABC permit drawing on July 20, 2015.

We posted a two part series back in August about Saffa's connection to tainted ABC Enforcement Director Boyce Hamlet and how Saffa's mother-in-law, Lisa Wright made a fraudulent application to the ABC to obtain a permit that she would not have been able to obtain had she truthfully reported that she lived in Little Rock (residence) not in Hot Springs (vacation home).

We have attempted to verify that Saffa took leave to attend the liquor lottery but have not received a response. We suspect that he did not and simply conducted personal business on state time.

The ABC routinely investigates claims that an individual provided false information on an application. Did they investigate Lisa and Edward Wright after our stories posted in August. Hell no.

Why? Because of the connection they have to tainted ABC Enforcement Director Boyce Hamlet.

Not to mention, Hamlet has a soft spot for liars. After all he is a habitual liar himself.

Arkansas Department of Corrections Major Ivory McDaniel Arrested on Multiple Felony Charges

Mugshot of ADC Major Ivory McDaniel According to booking records, Ivory Truall McDaniel was arrested early this morning by Little Rock cops after he beat 23 year old year Joshua Bess with a pair of brass knuckles (an illegal weapon in Arkansas) and stole the cellphone of a 26 year old Tamisha Patton out of her hand while she was calling the police to report the attack on Bess. McDaniel fled the scene at the Arbors of Pleasant Valley apartment complex on Hinson Loop Road and was apprehended by LRPD cops at another apartment complex on Green Mountain Drive. McDaniel faces three Class D felony charges and one misdemeanor charge. McDaniel is a Major with the Arkansas Department of Correction at the Varner Unit located south of Pine Bluff. We reached out to the Department of Corrections for comments, but they had not responded to our request at the time of publication. Was ASP Trooper Billy Martin trying to pull all 3 sisters? In January 2019, Callie Hinson and Joseph Ramer began dating. On June 13, 2020, Joseph proposed to Callie. They were married on February 21, 2021. By the time of their first anniversary, their marriage was in shambles and Callie was estranged from her family all due to this man, Arkansas State Police Trooper Billy Mitchell Martin. Martin joined the ASP as a recruit in January of 2007. Records from his personnel file indicate he was from Boone County and he was posted there after graduating troop school. Arkansas State Police Troopers fired for illicit sexual relationship

Two Arkansas State Police Troopers were fired on April 5, 2024 after administrative investigations were conducted into accusations that they were romantically involved. Sgt. Mark Austin Blackerby (38 and married) of Scott and Trooper Jessica Diane McCord (30 and single) of Conway during their interviews with the State Police Office of Professional Standards ("OPS") in January 2024, were dishonest about the affair according to records provided to us by the ASP.
