LRSD quicky reacts to Snarky Media's exposure of a convicted sexual offender at Southwest High School
On December 12th, we received an email about Simon Harris, a volunteer coach on the girls softball team at Little Rock School District Southwest High. The tipster provided information that Harris was a convicted sex offender. We verified that information and reached out to Southwest High and LRSD. They acted like they were not concerned (more on that later). In 2004 Harris was convicted of three felony counts of Sexual Assault in the First Degree in Hope, AR. His victim was a 16 year old female. Same age of the students he was working with at Southwest High School.
