Arkansas State Police Trooper John Parker wrecks patrol vehicle while on duty and catches a DWI charge


According to a press release emailed to us by the Arkansas State Police, ASP Corporal John M. Parker, 45 of East Camden, while on duty at about 7:30 p.m. on August 21st, had a single vehicle wreck. Parker was intoxicated and was transported to the Drew County Detention Center and charged with Driving While Intoxicated - DWI 1st Drugs and Reckless Driving.



Parker has been placed on administrative leave with pay during an investigation by the ASP Office of Professional Standards.

Parker has been an ASP Trooper since 2014.

Parker was involved in an incident in February 2025. He choked and used his knee to strike a handcuffed Black man. 


Apparently Parker got a promotion instead of a suspension or termination.

***UPDATE - 08/23/26***

A press release for the ASP stated that Parker resigned after being charged with DWI.  That keeps the internal investigation findings from being released under the AFOIA.  It also ends his law enforcement career as a resignation during a criminal or internal investigation will result in decertification under CLEST rules.

Fired Dover City Marshal Nathan Jones Accused of Exploiting Dying Man to Take Control of His Estate

  A video of a part-time Dover, AR city marshal threatening a local business that went viral on social media, resulted in his termination of employment on October 1st.   Here's the video. Little Rock Mayor's wedding announcement leads to a discovery of another legal blunder of Antwan Phillips

The feckless Little Rock mayor made this post of Facebook yesterday. So this morning we went to the County Clerk's website and grabbed a copy of his marriage license application. We immediately noticed that both Scott and his bride to be listed the same residence address - 8101 Kanis Oaks Drive. Scott's residence on his voter records is on Edwina Drive in Southwest Little Rock. Scott's bride-to-be is registered to vote in Florida. More about her later on in the story. So we Googled that address. According to records on file with Pulaski County, the property is owned by DRS Family Trust. You might wonder who is DRS Family Trust. Well dear readers, it's the mayor.
