Clinton & Jasmine Richardson and their pal Mayor Frank Scott, Jr. |
Remember all the hullabaloo surrounding that LITfest contract they mayor had set up with a business that was not registered to operate in the city or state?
Well it wasn't the first time he did that.
We uncovered an earlier instance during his reelection campaign.
Scott filed a campaign contribution and expense report ("CCE") on December 30, 2022 that listed a shocking $125,000 deficit.
One of the creditors Scott listed on that form was Metamorphasis, LLC [sic] of 1021 Puritan Drive in Jacksonville, AR. They conducted canvassing in the city for the mayor.
Here's where the plot thickens...
According to the Arkansas Secretary of State, that business entity had it's ability to operate in the state revoked in 2022 for failure to pay franchise taxes.
Documents filed with the Arkansas Secretary of State listed Clinton Richardson and his wife Jasmine Richardson as incorporator/organizer and member.
Now the plot gets thicker still...
According the city of Jacksonville, Metamorphosis, Inc./LLC has never been licensed to do business in their city.
According the city of Little Rock, Metamorphosis, Inc./LLC has never been licensed to do business in the city.
Apparently that sham business was only set up to get funds from the federal government during the pandemic.
The Richardson's got a PPP loan in the amount of $23,333.00 in February 2021. According the the PPP loan information, they sold men's and boy's clothing. They even claimed that business employed 10 individuals.
And dear readers, the plot thickens to a boil...
They were approved for that loan two days before they registered that business with the Arkansas Secretary of State.
Shady as fuck.
The address for that alleged business entity that employed 10 individuals is a single family residence in Jacksonville, AR owned by Jasmine Richardson.
Clinton and Jasmine were married back in April 2019.
According to Richardson Facebook page he is a realtor.
He is also a deadbeat according to numerous state income tax liens and civil judgements.
According to Jasmine's LinkedIn she is employed at Friday, Eldridge & Clark as Director of Marketing & Public Relations.
No mention her involvement with Metamorphosis.
The Friday Law firm often represents the city when the city attorney has a conflict.
Perhaps the Richardson's will need the services of that law firm in the near future.
