LRPD arrests and charges Stephanie Almand, a Pulaski County Special School District teacher, with felony sexual assault

The Little Rock Police Department finally arrested and charged PCSSD teacher Stephanie Renee Almand with felony sexual assault stemming from a sexual relationship she had with a student at Maumelle High School.

We broke the story about her in a post we made on May 8th (click here to view).

Almand was arrested and booked on June 11th and released after posting a $50,000 bond.

Almand was in court at the Little Rock District Court today and appeared before District Court Judge Melanie Martin.

Judge Martin is not in favor of transparency and will likely seal the records for 120 days. Remember that when her term comes up for re-election.

Almand has a review hearing set for August 10th at 9:00 a.m.

Why the case has not been transferred to Circuit Court to go before a real judge is something we should all be concerned about.

Arkansas State Police Troopers fired for illicit sexual relationship

Two Arkansas State Police Troopers were fired on April 5, 2024 after administrative investigations were conducted into accusations that they were romantically involved. Sgt. Mark Austin Blackerby (38 and married) of Scott and Trooper Jessica Diane McCord (30 and single) of Conway during their interviews with the State Police Office of Professional Standards ("OPS") in January 2024, were dishonest about the affair according to records provided to us by the ASP. Blackerby and his wife Cassie - a Jacksonville cop Initially, the investigation focused on Blackerby and both Blackerby and McCord denied a sexual relationship even though ASP vehicle tracking systems showed their vehicles parked at secluded locations for hours at at time and his vehicle at her home in Conway multiple times when he was on the clock. Fired Dover City Marshal Nathan Jones Accused of Exploiting Dying Man to Take Control of His Estate

A video of a part-time Dover, AR city marshal threatening a local business that went viral on social media, resulted in his termination of employment on October 1st. Here's the video. Apparently Jones was the subject of rumors in the town. Rumors about meth pipes and the 479 Smoke Shop. According to records obtained from the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards & Training ("CLEST"), Jones previously worked part-time for the Dover Marshal's Office from October 26, 2007 through January 2, 2009. Jones was also elected in 2023 as the Martin Township Constable and held that position under he lost to Ricky "Perch" Parks in 2025. Don't worry about Jones losing his part-time job. Thanks to a tipster, we were able to obtain public records that expose Arkansas State Police Trooper Michael Austin Kennedy as a racist. Records filed in the divorce proceedings Kennedy's wife has filed give shocking information what Trooper Kennedy thinks about People of Color. In amended filings, Trooper Kennedy's estranged wife states that he is a white supremacist and fears for the safety of their children. And it's no surprise that Trooper Kennedy is a registered Republican. Have the racist views expressed by Trooper Kennedy influenced his actions as a law enforcement officer?
