HOW THE ABC BOARD MAKES DECISIONS IS LIKE ROLLING DICE IN A CRAP GAME Recent decisions by the ABC Control Board in approving/denying private club permits in Searcy clearly shows how wishy-washy and inconsistent they are. You can read about the mess in Searcy by clicking here and here .  A glaring example of their arbitrary and capricious decisions is the matter of the beer and wine permit applications made by the Ozark Arts Council in Harrison. The Ozarks Arts Council uses the historic Lyric Theater to promote the arts in Harrison and North Arkansas through exhibitions, performances, and education. They had obtained temporary permits to sell and serve alcoholic beverages for special events, but wanted to obtain beer and wine permits to promete  public convenience and advantage. He also decided that the first group of recruits to receive it would be the ones graduating that day. We have posted about the city of Little Rock using camera in various "hot spots" around the city, especially at From his Throne Ministries and the Salvation Army on West Markham Street where the dangerous homeless population meets to eat and worship. You can review those posts by clicking here and here . We found that technicians with the city inadvertently posted a video on their Youtube channel that revealed their technical expertise. We downloaded the video before they could remove it. The city sure hires the best and the brightest.

  ARKANSAS SUPREME COURT DROPS THE GAVEL ON HERWEG GETTING HIS JOB BACK The Arkansas Supreme Court has denied a motion by the city of Jacksonville that would have temporarily reinstated the city's police chief that had been removed from his office by Pulaski County Circuit Court Judge Alice Gray in June. JUDGE ALICE GRAY Judge Gray made the removal pending the outcome of a lawsuit that challenges his eligibility for the job under the state constitution. Jacksonville filed a motion in the Arkansas Supreme Court that sought to stay Gray's ruling, claiming that "the operation of the [Police] Department is and has been thwarted" by the decision. The state's high court denied the motion, according to a court order filed Thursday. Herweg remains banned from the position, in accordance with Gray's ruling, pending further court proceedings.
