LRSD Hall High School principal was suspended for event where fight with gun errupted. Released records also make reference to a Crimes Against Children investigation

Carlton McGhee - Hall High principal

On August 3, 2024, a non-district basketball tournment took place at Hall High school.

A fight broke out and a juvenile had a handgun and used it to strike several individuals.

Turns out McGhee did not follow established LRSD policies about use of district facilities.

McGhee caught a five day suspenion without pay.

Then in December, a complant was made to LRSD about a volunteer softball coach at Southwest High School having innapropriate conact with a student.

Unbeknownst to LRSD, the SWHS coach was a convicted sex offender.

Records we obtained from LRSD about the sex offender volunteer coach at Southwest High, contained emails between Jordan Eason, LRSD Human Resources Director of Employee Relations and Aaron Gossett, and investigator with the Arkansas State Police, Crimes Against Children unit.

That emails made reference to a previous investigation the ASP CAC unit had conducted concerning McGhee.

We requested a copy of McGee's personnel file back in December when we saw these emails when preparing our story about the sex offender SWHS coach.

We found no records to reflect any administrative leave in McGee's file in that timeframe.

The public has a right to know if school district employees are accused of criminal actions and are being investigated by a law enforcement agency.

The Little Rock School District employs some sketchy individuals and their lack of acountablility is incredible.

LRSD provided some additional records regarding McGhee.

One of the documents provides details about the child maltreatment investigation.

The parent of a Hall High student, who also happens to be a LRSD Security Officer, filed a complaint about McGhee inappropriately touching her daughter and making her uncomfortable during a search for weed.

Other records provided show that he was in fact placed on administrative leave during the investigation and that he received a Letter of Caution.

Little Rock pastor takes his own life after complaint of sexually explict conduct with a minor child

On April 24, 2024, Tyce Michelle Scroggins found what she has described to authorities as "inappropriate text and pictures" on her husband's cellphone. The messages were between her husband, Michael Todd Scroggins, the senior pastor at Moody Chapel AME Church in Little Rock and a minor student at LISA Academy High School. Moody Chapel AME Church An argument ensued about the text messages and Pastor Scroggins left the home. On April 25th, Mrs. Scroggins filed a report with the Little Rock Police Department about the text messages. She also notified LISA Academy administration. On April 28th, Mrs. Scroggins filed a missing person report with the Sherwood Police Department. Sherwood Police put out an alert on social media. On April 30th, Little Rock Police found Pastor Scroggins dead from an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound in his vehicle parked in the back parking lot of the church. ASP Trooper texts and stalks a 14 year old that was near same age as his own daughter, while having an affair with her married sister.

Arkansas State Police Trooper fired

I n June 2023 a teenage female filed a compliant with the Arkansas State Police ("ASP") about Corporal Michael Valentin, an ASP Trooper stationed in Harrison, AR. In her complaint she alleged that Valentin had groomed her and had sexual activities, while on duty, with her and another minor female. She also alleged he was stalking her. An internal investigation was opened. Both teenage females were interviewed as was Valentin. The girls stated that they were acquainted with Valentine because one of them was the stepdaughter of a fellow trooper and Valentin was a frequent customer at the restaurant that the fellow trooper and his wife owned, where both of the girls worked.
