According to records provided to us by the Arkansas State Police, an inebriated off-duty LRFD Captain Robert Shannon Hild, age 54, jumped from a Jeep Wrangler being driven by his wife and killed himself. His wife, Amanda, age 47 told officers that he had threatened to do that on prior occasions.
The incident took place after the couple stopped at a liquor store in Maumelle while returning from spending the day on the lake in Heber Springs.
The report states that the couple had been in "an ongoing verbal altercation" while driving and that both Hild and his wife "had been drinking" and that Hild was "heavily under the influence of alcohol". When the couple got to Maumelle, Hild stopped at Lake Liquor to get more booze.
After Hild went into the liquor store the wife got in the drivers seat of the Jeep. When Hild exited the store, he started walking away from the parking lot. The wife followed him in the Jeep and he got back in the vehicle. They began to argue again and then he jumped out of the moving vehicle killing himself.
It's not stated why the Hild's were in Maumelle as voter and assessment records show that they are residents of Conway, AR.
Here's the full report.
No doubt the Enforcement Division of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Agency will be looking at video from Lake Liquor and questioning them about selling booze to an inebriated individual.

A source that is close to the family sent us this message.
A misguided malcontent sent us this message.
Apparently he did not read this story and see the report from the ASP. The wife is the one that called 911 and said it was a suicide. And if he jumped from a moving vehicle that is some stupid shit.Threatening folks with an ass kicking is also stupid shit and a criminal offense.
We have requested a copy of the 911 call and additional videos from first responders and will post them as soon as they are received.

We also obtained a recording of the PCSO dispatch traffic.
And videos from PSCO deputies that arrived at the scene prior to the ASP.
