Eudora mayor stands behind her assistant's bigoted, profanity laced social media posts

Eudora mayor Tomeka Butler and her assistant/boyfriend Elijah Jackson, Jr.

In December 2022, Eudora, AR mayor Tomeka Butler was in the news when she put her town of 1,728 folks under a mandatory curfew due to a rash of  unnecessary violence that her police department could not handle.

The KATV story stated:

The mayor of Eudora, Arkansas has put the city under a "mandatory civil emergency curfew" effective immediately due to the "rash of unnecessary violence" that has occurred in the city.

Mayor Tomeka Butler said the curfew will be from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. The curfew was put into effect Monday and a video was uploaded on the city's Facebook page.

The only exceptions will be work and medical reasons. The mayor said that the curfew will be strictly enforced by the Eudora City Police Department.

Apparently Mayor Butler believes that some violence is necessary in Eudora, only if it comes from her administration.

There has also been an on-going problem with water in that town.

Citizens has expressed concerns on a Facebook group page and the mayor's assistant/boyfriend took offense and made some shocking comments.

At a recent city council meeting citizens complained and the mayor's assistant/boyfriend tried to justify his bigoted and profane comments.

At one point Mayor Butler chimed in and stated that if you were going to make negative social media posts about her administration you could expect her and her administration to retaliate against them like her assistant/boyfriend had done.

It was all captured on video.

Eudora citizens tell us they are exploring all options to deal with Mayor Butler, including a recall petition.

Citizens have pointed out that Mayor Butler recently required all city employees to sign a social media policy.

We have sent a FOI request for copies of that and more.

Stay tuned for updates.

Was ASP Trooper Billy Martin trying to pull all 3 sisters?   In January 2019, Callie Hinson and Joseph Ramer began dating. On June 13, 2020, Joseph proposed to Callie.  They were married on February 21, 2021. By the time of their first anniversary, their marriage was in shambles and Callie was estranged from her family all due to this man, Arkansas State Police Trooper Billy Mitchell Martin. In late 2019 and early 2020, Martin tried to get transferred to a Criminal Investigation position in Boone County but was unsuccessful.
