***UPDATE 04/06/23***

Bryant PD provided us with their initial report dated March 31, 2023.

***UPDATE 04/07/23***

Sources report that the Bryant High School football player involved in an "entanglement" with his married teacher, Heather Hare, at Bryant High School is Miguel Graham. This is the pair in a recent photo.

Sources also report that the student and teacher were involved in a school related organization that made overnight trips.

If any of those trips were out of state and she had sex with him, she might be charged under the Mann Act

To be charged with a federal offense under the Mann Act, you must have been involved in the transportation of an individual for the purposes of prostitution or any sexual activity that may be charged as a crime (which would include kidnapping, coercion, child pornography, child prostitution, or the transportation of a minor). Additionally, using the mail or telephone (or electronic communications) to facilitate such an act could be charged as a Mann Act violation as well.

Our source told us that coaches told Graham's mom that if UCA got wind of it they would yank both her kids scholarships.

We contacted UCA to inquire on the status of his scholarship and asked specifically if it have been revoked or withdrawn. We said if it had been revoked we wanted records regarding that under the AFOIA.

A UCA spokesperson said the University was unaware of this situation and would have to get back with information about his scholarship offer and status.

***UPDATE 4/7/23 - 4:42PM***

The Bryant school district responded to our FOI request and provided a copy of Hare's personnel file.

***UPDATE 04/14/23***

According to a post on Facebook by Bryant PD, Hare has been charged with Sexual Assault in the First Degree, a felony charge. Hare turned herself in this morning.

***UPDATE - 04/14/23 - 2:00PM***

The Saline County Sheriff's Department inmate roster shows that Hare was release at 1:26 pm this afternoon after posting a $15,000.00 bond.

***UPDATE - 04/13/23- 4:00PM***

UCA finally provided a response to our verbal FOI request of April 7th after some gentle prodding.

In their response, they provided records regarding the scholarship and stated they have not rescinded it.

The Arkansas State Police has confirmed that Trooper Lincoln Smith from Troop E (based in Pine Bluff) was fired on April 11th for illegal conduct.    False reports of his arrest went viral on social media.   As the ASP criminal investigation is on-going, they will not release any further details of his criminal actions.   As the termination letter states, Smith admitted to criminal conduct and was immediately fired.  Smith was hired by the ASP on October 2023. Smith was employed by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission as a Game Warden prior to his hiring by the ASP.   Records obtained from CLEST do not indicate that the ASP requested decertification.     Jacksonville 911 was contacted about Smith and they advised he last worked for them in 2022.   At the time of publication, Smith's Facebook page is still open and up.    Stay tuned for updates.
