TWO LRPD OFFICERS SUSPENDED DUE TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INCIDENTS

Two Little Rock Police officers have been placed on leave and are subject of internal investigations as a result of two unrelated domestic violence incidents.

Officer Ahmed "Jack" Soliman, a/k/a Ahmed Hassa Soliman-Motawie, and Det. Terry McDaniel  have been relieved of duty and are on paid leave pending the outcome of the internal investigations and associated criminal proceedings.

Somalian-Motawie's troubles came to a head back on September 23, 2018. He got into an argument with an ex-girlfriend, Kristen Giggleman and sometime during the encounter he grabbed a knife and intentionally cut himself. The report suggests that Soliman-Motawie might have been stalking her.

Somalian-Motawie's had been recently divorced from his wife Kathryn. The decree from their divorce was filed on May 21, 2018.

You can view the complaint for divorce his wife filed by clicking here and the decree by clicking here.

Giggleman subsequently filed a complaint against Somalian-Motawie and he was charged with Domestic Battering 3 Degree and arrested. The judge in the matter, Hugh Finkelstein, issued a no contact order on October 11, 2018 and had Somalian-Motawie surrender his passport (we have sent a FOI request for filings in this case, but have not yet received the records).

On  October 21, 2018, Somalian-Motawie really screwed the pooch and violated the order of protection. He went to the residence of a relative of Giggleman's which was in violation of the no contact order issued October 11th.

Somalian-Motawie was arrested again (we have sent a FOI request for filings in this case, but have not yet received the records).

Stay tuned for updates about Somalian-Motawie.

Now to the matter of Det. Terry McDaniel. His domestic abuse case involves Lori Gore, the mother of his two children.

LORI GORE - McDANIEL'S VICTIM

On December 19, 2018, Gore called LRPD after McDaniel tried to kick her door in and then broke a window of her residence and threatened to "beat her ass and hide her where nobody could ever find her".

We assume a homicide detective could possibly do that - hide a body that is.

You can view the full report by clicking here.

Gore subsequently filed for an order of protection against McDaniel, which was temporarily granted by Judge Michael Reif. A hearing will be held on January 16th at 10:00 am on the matter (we have sent a FOI request for filings in this case, but have not yet received the records)

NOTICE TO McDANIEL ABOUT THE HEARING FOR THE ORDER OF PROTECTION

McDaniel also filed a lawsuit against Gore. In it he claims she filed a false police report about the domestic abuse incident. McDaniel also claims she uses drugs and fake identification.

Apparently McDaniel might have violated a few of LRPD's General Orders and Rules and Regulations in his relationship with her if his allegations are true and he never filed a report about her. Shenanigans all around.

McDaniel has shot and killed at least two men during his time with LRPD. One of those killings almost caused a riot. The circumstances surrounding both shooting were questionable.

We have obtained videos from LRPD of when they responded to calls from both victims. We will have edited versions posted as soon as possible.

Check back for updates.

***UPDATE - 01/07/19 1:00PM***

We received the court filings for the Order of Protection case involving Det. McDaniel. This is from the affidavit of Ms. Gore.

Bryant High School teacher accused of sexual misconduct with a student

The Bryant Police Department confirms an on-going investigation of a now former Bryant teacher, Heather Danielle (Hall) Hare. Hare (age 32) has been accused of sexual contact with a student.  Hare was featured on ABC Good Morning America in May 2020 when a course she taught was discontinued during the pandemic. At this point no details of the alleged illegal conduct have been released. Earlier today the school district posted this on a Bryant Schools Facebook page. According to on-line school board records, Hare submitted her resignation effective April 1, 2023.     Hare is married and is a resident of Conway, AR. KATV featured the Hare family in another story on October 31, 2022. Stay tuned for updates. Three LRPD cops "relieved of duty" over incident at Club Trois

Sources at LRPD have confirmed a tip we received that three LRPD cops, Brad Stewart, Lee Pitts and Justin Sims have been "relieved of duty" in connection with an incident at Club Trois. The story we were told is that Stewart was working off-duty at Club Trois and dealt with an inebriated female club patron by soaking her with pepper spray.  LRPD General Order  ("G.O.") 303 requires that a cop that uses physical force, non-lethal control and compliance devices, on or off-duty, follow certain procedures. Use of pepper spray is a Level 4 event. Here are the specific procedures. LRPD sources tell us that they are trained to call MEMS after they use pepper spray or a taser on an individual. They are to file an incident report and they file an officer's report or letter form (5600-2) with their immediate supervisor for each use of force incident. Here's an example of an officer letter form.   Not a single procedure was followed in this incident. And to make matter

Pulaski County Department headed by State Senator Fred Love is in trouble.

By Russ Racop On July 31st we broke the story that there was an internal investigation afoot at the Pulaski County office of Community Services.   A recipient of Section 8 HVC vouchers contacted us on that same day for assistance and we began our investigation.   Her landlord contacted her and told her she had three days to get out of her apartment because she had fraudulently obtained assistance.    The landlord had been contacted by Love's staff before she had. She didn't understand what was going on because she just moved into the apartment and had been vetted and approved for assistance by Love's department. It's not the first time someone has reached out to us about Fred Love and that county department.  Love also serves in the state legislature as a Senator. We have received allegations and some records about sexual and workplace harassment, malfeasance and misuse of county resources involving Love. We immediately called the number listed on that rent payment noti
