Arkansas State Capitol Cop James Mayfield Arrested for DWI

On July 19th, we broke the story about Sgt. James Mayfield of the Arkansas State Capitol Police catching a DWI charge. On July 19th, at around 3 a.m.,  PCSO Deputy Winston observed Mayfield driving at a high rates of speed. Deputy Winston gave chase and further observed Mayfield unable to stay in the lane in which he was operating his vehicle. After Deputy Winston has Mayfield pulled over, Mayfield said he was a cop and flashed his State Capitol Police badge.  Mayfield had bloodshot eyes and had an open 12oz Bud Light (that was cold to the touch) can in the passenger seat. Mayfield admitted consuming beer prior to driving and was given a field sobriety test that he failed. Here's a video Mayfield posted on his personal Facebook page. It appears that he was partying and having a good time on the 18th before his arrest at 3 a.m. the next day as he was driving home. Former employee of Arkansas Baptist College exposes corruption of it's president William L. "Bill" Walker

  A reader sent us a copy of a letter about sketchy and corrupt activities at Arkansas Baptist College involving it's president, Bill Walker, after we published a story about the most recent arrest of his wacko daughter Alyson. The reader also reports that Walker  has fired teachers for failing students that were failing, wanting them to pass them just to keep funds coming in.
