City Bailbonds posted close to $100,000 in bonds in three criminal cases for convicted felon Willie Larry-Purdiman. Larry-Purdiman failed to appear for hearings in those cases and judges in those cases sought forfeiture of the bonds in those cases.

In the 2020 case, Larry-Purdiman had posted a $30,000 bond for a three Terroristic Act charges (prosecutor dropped thoses charges in a plea deal). A plea deal was worked out and Larry-Purdiman was found guilty of aggravated assualt and was sentenced to four years of supervised probation.
In June of 2023, Larry-Purdiman failed to cooperate with the conditions of his supervised probation and the court initiatied revocation proceedings. He failed to appear at the revocation hearing and a warrant for his arrest was issued. He was arrested in December of 2023 and a bond for his release was set at $7,500 at a hearing in Janurary 2024.
Larry-Purdiman failed to appear at a hearing in September 2024 and a warrant was issued for his arrest and City Bail Bonds was given notice about forfeiture of that $7,500.00 bond.
That's a lot of money for a bailbond company to lose so they reached out to family members and found a snitch (according to judges notes in one of the cases).
Larry-Purdiman had another associated case for drug possession and felon in possession of a firearm. Larry-Purdiman failed to appear at a hearing in that case and a warrant was issued for his arrest. In Devember 2023, he was arrested and City Bail Bonds had posted another $7,500 for his release. Larry-Purdiman failed to appear for a hearing in September 2024 and the court sought forfeiture of that bond.
A judges note in that case also relects a family member was cooperating in helping the bail bond company locate him.
And to make a bad situation worse, while on supervised probation (and failing to appear for hearings) Larry-Purdiman was charged with additional crimes, including aggravated assualt on on law enforcement officer.
Larry-Purdiman was arrested in January 2024 and was released on a $75,000 bond which was provided by City Bail Bonds. The court also issued an order that prohibited the possession of a dangerous weapon.
Larry-Purdiman, true to form, failed to appear at a hearing in August 2024 and a warrant for his arrest was issued. The court also sought forfeiture of that $75,000 bond from City Bail Bonds.
So on Monday March 24th, goons from
City Bailbonds and U.S. Marshal Deputies went after Larry-Purdiman and
attempted to take him into custody at Walmart on Baseline Road in
Southwest Little Rock.
In the 2023 case, a judges note indicates that Larry-Purdiman was being indicted in Federal Court, hence the involvement of U.S. Marshal Deputies.
The U.S. Marshal's office has not released a detailed statement about what took place.

Posts on social media featured video footage as the event went down.
According to city of Little Rock police dispatch records, no calls were made to 911 about anyone carrying a weapon in that area. It appears that the first the city found out about this was when a call came in about the fire at the gas station.
Residents of the safe city of Little Rock deserve to know what happened, how many individual were killed or injured.
