Arkansas Educational Television producer arrested for methamphetamine possession

On November 3, 2025, Michael Hibblen, Director of Public Affairs and a  producer at Arkansas PBS (form. Arkansas Educational Television Network - AETN) was pulled over for speeding on Interstate 30 in North Little Rock by Pulaski County Deputy Sheriff William "Bill" Brooks II.  When searching Hibblen's car, Deputy Brooks found 0.9 grams of what he believed to be methamphetamine in the cup holder of the car. Hibblen was transported to the Pulaski County Detention Center and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.     The Pulaski County Sheriff's Department provided the dash and body camera video recorded during the traffic stop. It's not the first time a traffic stop has resulted in Hibblen's arrest. In 2022, he caught a DWI charge. Hibblen worked for KUAR news prior to going to work at Arkansas PBS.
